Livestock

Animal care is a major part of daily life at the farm.  We're currently raising goats, bees, chickens, and rabbits.

Four of our goats kidded this year, and we've adopted some baby goats from a local dairy.  So our little herd is up to 18 goats now!  Fresh milk and yogurt!

 Gardens

We are developing a diverse vegetable garden, as well as our rainwater harvesting system and irrigation.  we're also planting a variety of fruit trees and berry bushes.

 Building Projects

Our newest project is the deconstruction of this 300' long chicken house, at left.  We will scavenge a large quantity of metal roofing, lumber, foam insulation, and several loads of scrap metal.  We'll use this material in the construction of our new barn at the Haven.  And there will be plenty left over for other projects.

We're putting the finishing touches on our passive solar, earth sheltered mini-greenhouse, and experimenting with different methods for growing in it.  We hope to get the rabbits moved out of their small hutches and into their new, more spacious accomadations soon...  Find more construction pictures of this building here

Farmers Market
We're currently harvesting once a week for the Cotton Mill Farmers' Market, and delivering a few boxes of produce / week for our CSA customers.  This is our second year offering produce for sale.  We're sharing a booth at market with Jeff and Annie, who are offering their handmade soaps.  (below)
